I have a gas stove. I have checked the temperature with an oven thermometer and it registers correctly. If I bake foods on the center rack, the food burns to the bottom of the pan before it cooks for the minimum amount of time listed in the recipe. I never get a nice, lightly browned [...]

I have never cooked a roast before can someone explain to me how to?
It’s 1.6 pounds….and I’m not sure if I have a meat thermometer but I might so what temperature should it be at?
I wanted to make one so I could make Yorkshire pudding

I just put a butterball turkey (a small one, i think it’s turkey breast) in the oven at 6:31, i have a gas stove how long do i let it cook? It says to check its doneness with a thermometer but i don’t have one?
