Rump roast cooking time slowcooker?
My friend is cooking a 5 ib rump roast she needs it done in 5 hours. She is currently cooking in a slow cooker on high? Will it be done in time and How can she tell if its done without a meat thermometer.

It may be done. However a rump roast is not a particularly good cut of meat for a slow cooker. There is not enough fat and marbling to make it real tender. When it is done it will be best sliced very thin and make sandwiches out of it rather than serving as a roast.
