  1. If you are cooking meat, you can usually tell using the touch test.
    This might sound crazy, but it works.
    Turn you hand up so that your palm is facing you.
    You can tell if meat is done by pressing on the fleshy part of you palm below your thumb using different finger positions. Pressing on different sections yield different results.
