Does anyone know if digital thermometer watches are really accurate? Does anyone own one?
I'm thinking of getting my husband a digital thermometer watch as a Christmas gift but want to know if they're accurate or not (the thermometer). I've only found one online review for it and the person said that their body temp throws off the temp shown on the watch by about 10 degrees from the surrounding temperature. Does anyone have any experience with thermometer watches?

I've had one (Casio) for years. Yes, they are off when they come right out of the box, but mine let's you adjust it to compensate for you body temperature. I just adjusted mine whenever I saw a thermometer the first few weeks and I got it to +/- 1 deg from the thermometers around me.
I would expect that any new watch would also have an adjustment method — but it's probably buried in the manual fine print (and missed by the reviewer). You probably ought to make sure that it has an adjustment method before you buy one.
