Is there any other way to measure food’s temperature without a cooking thermometer?
If so, then how?

My car is leaking antifreeze and I think it’s probably the thermometer since it’s leaking below the engine and the car hasn’t overheated all the way. I’ve changed a radiator thermometer myself before, but I really just can’t find it on this car. Help would be immensely appreciated.

The meat still is a little pinkish. I cooked it for the recommended time (2.25 hrs for slightly more than 4 lbs) and to an internal temperature of 155. I seem to recall that this happened last time, too. Maybe my meat thermometer is off?

In other words: why use a stirring rod instead of a thermometer.

I remember seeing a method that used a meat thermometer and a oven proof measuring cup w/ 1 cup of water in it. I cannot remeber the particulars of how to do it. (what temp to set the oven at and how much temp change in the water in how much time)

My concern is will the meat cooking on the stove affect the correct reading. Or do I need to remove the meat to get an accurate reading. Thanks.

My meatloaf is 1 lb ground beef, 1 lb ground pork, with breadcrumbs, tomato paste, onion, garlic and an egg. How long should I cook it for, and at what temp? I don’t have a meat thermometer, and my oven is pretty accurate.
